🏠 General Program Questions

Q: What is an independent living facility?

A: An independent living facility provides safe housing and supportive services to individuals who are able to care for themselves but benefit from structured support, accountability, and case management.

A: Our program is for adults (18+) who are seeking safe, sober, and structured housing — including those aging out of foster care, exiting homelessness, or in need of support after incarceration, hospitalization, or transitional life events.

A: No. We are not a treatment or licensed medical facility. We are a supportive housing program designed to promote independence while offering access to resources like mental health referrals, job support, and life skills coaching.

📝 Admissions & Eligibility

Q: How do I apply for the program?

A: You can apply by calling us, emailing our admissions team, or filling out the [online application form]. Referrals from agencies, courts, or hospitals are also accepted.

A: We may review criminal background history as part of our safety protocol, but we do not automatically disqualify individuals with justice involvement. Each case is considered individually.

A: We request a valid ID (if available), basic income info (if applicable), emergency contacts, and any referral paperwork — but if you don’t have everything, we’ll still work with you.

A: Yes. We maintain a drug- and alcohol-free environment. Residents are expected to remain clean and committed to recovery if applicable.

🏡 Facility & Services

Q: What kind of housing do you provide?

A: Residents are placed in shared or private rooms in a clean, fully furnished home-like setting. We provide access to a kitchen, living room, laundry, and shared bathrooms.

A: No. There are no on-site staff at the housing locations. 

A: Our program includes housing, case management, life skills coaching, referrals for mental health and employment services, and help with daily living routines and personal goals.

Q: Is there a curfew or house rules?

A: Yes. To promote structure and accountability, we have curfew hours, visitor guidelines, chore assignments, and behavioral expectations that all participants agree to follow.

A: Absolutely. We encourage and support employment, education, and personal development as part of your journey to independence.

A: Length of stay depends on your personal goals and progress, but most participants stay between 3 to 12 months. Extensions are considered on a monthly bases depending on need and availability.

A: Yes. Referrals from case managers, probation officers, hospitals, shelters, and family members are welcome.
